Chromaroll Privacy Policy

This policy explains how INK Game Studio handles information when you play Chromaroll on iOS or Android.

Effective August 1, 2026 Version 1.0.2 INK Game Studio

1. The short version

  • Chromaroll does not ask for an email address, phone number, payment-card details, or real name to play.
  • The game creates a pseudonymous Unity Gaming Services player identifier to save progress, protect the game economy, validate rewards, and operate weekly competitions.
  • A profile name you choose is stored privately. Other players see a generated curated alias rather than that name. They can see your selected avatar and competition score or rank.
  • Chromaroll contains interstitial and opt-in rewarded ads delivered through Unity LevelPlay mediation and the Unity Ads network.
  • Optional analytics and advertising are controlled separately. Ads Off disables both interstitial and rewarded ads. Contextual permits non-personalized interstitial and opt-in rewarded ads. Personalized permits personalized ads where allowed.
  • Apple and Google process payments. We do not receive your payment-card details.

2. Information we handle

Game account and profile

Chromaroll automatically creates a pseudonymous player identifier through Unity Authentication. We use it to recognize the same game profile, including when cloud restoration is available. We also handle the profile name and avatar you select. The profile name need not be your real name.

Game progress and economy

We handle information needed to operate the game, including levels attempted or completed, scores, accuracy, stars, coins, hearts, helpers, collections, Journey and Chroma Pass progress, daily gifts, event participation, claims, entitlements, and records used to prevent duplicate or unauthorized rewards.

Paint Festival and other competitive features

For weekly competitions, we process score, rank, event week, bucket, and avatar. Other players receive a generated curated alias for you, together with your avatar and competition score or rank. Your chosen profile name is kept in your private player profile and is not returned to opponents.

Purchases

If you make an in-app purchase, Apple or Google handles payment. We and our service providers receive transaction and validation information such as the store, product identifier, transaction or purchase token, price and currency, purchase status, entitlement, and fulfillment record. We use that information to validate, deliver, restore, and prevent duplicate or fraudulent purchases. We do not receive your payment-card number or bank-account details.

Advertising and rewarded ads

Chromaroll uses Unity LevelPlay to mediate ads and currently includes the Unity Ads network. These services may handle identifiers, IP-derived country or approximate region, device and app information, ad impressions and interactions, diagnostics, fraud-prevention signals, and purchase or usage signals as described in their documentation. For rewarded ads, a pseudonymous player identifier and short-lived reward-validation data are used to deliver the reward securely.

Optional analytics

If analytics is enabled, Unity Analytics receives the pseudonymous player or installation identifier and events about app sessions, game progress, feature use, ad delivery, purchase fulfillment, errors, and performance. We use this to understand whether the game works, balance the experience, diagnose problems, and measure features. We do not intentionally place free-form profile names in analytics events.

Device, network, and diagnostics

The game and its service providers may handle app version, operating system, device model and language, network status, IP address, country or approximate region derived from network information, installation or device identifiers, performance information, crash or error details, and security or anti-fraud signals. Chromaroll does not request precise GPS location.

Support, privacy, and deletion requests

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, any other contact information you choose to include, the contents of your message and attachments, and a Support ID if you provide one. We may link that correspondence to the relevant pseudonymous game profile when needed to answer you, investigate a problem, protect an account, or complete a privacy or deletion request. Providing contact information is optional, but we need a way to reply if you want a response.

3. How we use information

We use this information to:

  • provide anonymous sign-in, cloud progress, gameplay, purchases, rewards, events, and leaderboards;
  • secure the virtual economy and prevent duplicate grants, abuse, and fraud;
  • deliver and measure contextual or, where permitted, personalized ads;
  • run optional analytics, improve balance and features, and diagnose problems;
  • answer support, privacy, and deletion requests; and
  • comply with applicable legal, accounting, and store requirements.

Depending on where you live and the activity involved, processing may be needed to provide the service you request, based on your consent, required by law, or based on legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, contextual ad delivery, and improving the game. Applicable law may give you the right to object to or restrict some processing.

4. Ads, consent, tracking, and your choices

Chromaroll offers three advertising choices. Ads Off disables both interstitial and rewarded ads. On a fresh launch with Ads Off selected, the ad SDK is not initialized. If you select Ads Off after ads have already started in the current session, ad requests and delivery stop and loaded ad inventory is discarded, although the initialized SDK core may remain loaded until the app restarts. Contextual permits non-personalized interstitial and opt-in rewarded ads. Personalized permits personalized ads where allowed. Optional analytics is a separate choice. You can change these choices or withdraw optional consent in the game's Settings > Privacy controls. Withdrawing optional consent turns ads and optional analytics off; it does not prevent essential processing needed for game saves, purchases, fraud prevention, or reward delivery.

On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is a separate operating-system permission. ATT controls access to tracking permission under Apple's rules; it is not the game's complete privacy notice or the separate analytics choice. If ATT is denied, Chromaroll does not treat personalized ads as allowed on iOS and uses contextual delivery if ads remain enabled. You can also change ATT later in iOS Settings.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some disclosures to advertising providers can be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged for the information. You can choose contextual ads in Settings > Privacy and can contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights. Operating-system advertising controls may provide additional choices.

5. Who receives information

  • Unity Gaming Services: anonymous authentication, Cloud Save, Cloud Code, Economy, Leaderboards, Remote Config, and optional Analytics.
  • Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads: ad mediation, ad delivery and measurement, frequency controls, fraud prevention, and rewarded-ad verification.
  • Apple and Google: app distribution, in-app purchase processing, receipt or purchase validation, and store-level diagnostics subject to their own terms.
  • Amazon Web Services: secure processing, queues, and operational logs used to validate and deliver rewarded-ad grants.
  • Email and support providers: transmission and storage of messages you choose to send for support, privacy, or deletion requests.
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or a successor: only where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, protecting rights and security, a corporate transaction, or another lawful purpose.

See the Unity Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.

6. Retention

We retain cloud progress and economy records while the pseudonymous player profile is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide restoration, entitlements, event settlement, security, and support. We currently do not apply a short automatic expiry to an active player's core progress.

Reward-delivery queues and their operational logs are normally configured for a maximum of 14 days. Protected weekly event settlements and short-lived purchase or reward quotes follow their product-defined claim or expiry schedules. Read-only weekly leaderboard archive versions may remain until we retire the complete archive version. Completed purchase, entitlement, and anti-duplication records may be retained longer to restore purchases, keep the economy accurate, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting requirements.

Support and privacy-request correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain an appropriate record, protect accounts, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

After an in-app account deletion, we retain only a minimal protected deletion guard for the former pseudonymous account. It contains deletion timing and status, and no gameplay, profile, purchase, advertising, or analytics data. This security record prevents a stale signed-in device or delayed request from recreating data after the deletion has completed.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Providers may retain limited backups or records under their documented retention schedules. If we must keep limited records after a deletion request for legal, accounting, security, dispute, or fraud-prevention reasons, we restrict them to that purpose.

7. Access and deletion requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive, restrict, or object to the use of your information, and to withdraw consent.

The quickest way to delete your Chromaroll account and associated game data is inside the game at Settings > Privacy > Delete Account & Data. The game shows a separate irreversible confirmation before starting deletion. The same Privacy screen displays a stable Support ID for the current profile and provides a copy button. This is the profile's pseudonymous Unity player identifier, not a password, but you should keep it private. Save it before uninstalling if you may need account support.

If you no longer have the app or cannot access the account, email contact@inkgamestudio.com with the subject Chromaroll Data Deletion and include whether you use iOS or Android and your Support ID, if you saved it. Because the profile is pseudonymous and is not tied to your email address, we may need to ask for limited information to identify the correct profile and protect another player's data. Do not send payment-card details, a password, authentication token, or a full store receipt by email.

Deleting the app from a device does not itself delete server data. When the in-app workflow completes, it permanently deletes the Unity Authentication account, cloud progress and files, currency, inventory, private profile identity, protected Festival settlements, live leaderboard scores, and other associated game data, and requests deletion of Unity Analytics data. Live scores and protected settlements are removed before the Authentication account is deleted. A minimal deletion guard containing only deletion timing and status remains so stale sessions cannot recreate the deleted data; it contains no gameplay, profile, purchase, advertising, or analytics information.

Unity's read-only leaderboard archives do not support deleting one player's row. A pseudonymous archive row containing a generated curated alias, selected avatar, score, and rank may therefore remain until we retire the complete immutable archive version. A player's chosen profile name is never written to leaderboard rows, including archived rows.

Store purchase records held by Apple or Google are controlled by those companies and remain with the store. Eligible non-consumable purchases may be restored to a new account; progress and non-store-restorable entitlements cannot be restored after deletion. We will explain any other limited information that must be retained for a legal or security reason.

For ad-provider access, opt-out, or deletion tools, you can also use the privacy icon shown during a Unity ad or Unity's privacy resources linked above.

8. Children

Chromaroll is a general-audience game intended for players aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game and provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Parents and guardians may submit a request on a child's behalf.

9. Security and international processing

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including encrypted network transport for our service connections, server-authoritative purchase and reward validation, restricted service access, and pseudonymous player identifiers. No system is completely secure.

Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we and our providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Chromaroll or its providers change. We will update the effective date and provide any additional notice required by law.
